Teaser of the stop-motion movie réflexions résonantes
Hervé Bacquet's film shows the accidental dimension of luminous phenomena, as if we were witnessing a series of uncontrolled experiments, like the disruption of a machine that leaves random traces. The aim is to work with the plastic and energetic dimension of light, to modulate the sensation of speed and to form unexpected figures, metamorphoses of mechanical objects, evolving images of the cosmos, more or less geometric formal structures related to minerals: crystal, pyrite, meteorite fragments, etc.
Filming takes place in a reconstructed physics/chemistry laboratory.
Karlheinz Essl's music reflects the constantly moving light gestures, creating resonances in the realms of space and sound. It was performed in an experimental setup with an unusual modular synthesizer that represents a highly sensitive, non-linear feedback system.
